From the Office to Drinks

In this month's blog post, I want to share some fashion tips on how to maximise the versatility of one dress from the office to drinks.

As many are back in the office, even if it's just for part of the week, the need to maintain a professional appearance is important. However, there are times when we want to go from the workplace to social events, going out for drinks with co-workers or meeting up with friends.

I've chosen this beautiful dress from Boden, part of their petite range. What I particularly love about this dress is its deep V neckline, which is flattering for many body types. If you find the V-neck too revealing, a simple solution is to layer it with a lace camisole or delicately place a piece of lace at the lowest point of the V.

I recommend accessorising with pearls. Given that the dress is quite dark in colour, the addition of lighter pearl accessories can breathe life into the outfit. However, feel free to explore your own creative ideas when it comes to accessorising.

In my suggestions, I've included earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet, but let me clarify that you don't need to wear all of them at once! If you opt for statement earrings, consider skipping the necklace, or if you prefer a striking necklace, pair it with more understated earrings to strike the right balance.

Remember, these are just suggestions to get your creative fashion juices flowing. You have the freedom to make this style your own, whether that involves incorporating vintage pieces or experimenting with costume jewellery.

The key is to enjoy the process of experimenting with your style and finding what makes you feel confident and stylish in every setting.
